Another option I've thought about to move beyond blogging is having a podcast. Has anyone tried to create one and how easy is it to make.

I have done the odd video and I'm moving to doing more of them but I'm really nervous and rarely bother promoting them. If you have a smart phone or a tablet they're fairly easy. Uploading takes most of the time and Youtube has some very useful tools for editing and adding stuff.

I think you are confusing vlogging with Podcasts here. Sure you can have video podcasts but the majority of them are audio.

I'm easily confused with technology.
