We should be trying to have a table there. Who is going and would be prepared to person a table for a couple of hours?

Not only that, if we're having a table there we need to be thinking in terms of flyers and branding. Anyone personing a table for us would be representing book bloggers in general as well as their own blog.

My thoughts run along the lines of flyers to line the table or behind the table. Not just flyers promoting Book Bloggers Australia but also images of some of our blogs. I'd be looking at trying to get a good cross section of blogs, video blogs or instagram would make the grade.

I do hope to be there myself but can't be certain yet. I'd be considering driving up if there's a couple of people from Melbourne wanting to join me. And then there's hotel fees. This is also my down time when work is concerned so I have to watch my pennies until spring when the markets start again.

This year is out for me too. August is far too busy for me and I'll be at MWF for that weekend anyway. It's something I might consider attending in the future maybe.... just depends.

That is one of my problems too. I've also got four things on the Sunday, I have to drop three and I don't know which ones.

Looks like I'm dropping everything for that weekend. I'll be having a procedure on the Friday and will be spending the time recuperating instead. The timing is shocking but my work gets busy the following weekend and I'll only have this one day to get this done or wait until next winter.

Will be looking for reports back from other people.

The 2015 dates are for October 17/18.

Maybe those of us in Sydney (& those who would like to travel), should start thinking about having a table at next years event instead?

Yes, and yes. I would have gone this year but my body and medical staff disagreed.

Was it a success, though? Did anyone go this year?
